Pumas showed tremendous character in a frustrating 3–3 draw against AFC Reading.
It was a sluggish start from Pumas, who found themselves 2–0 down after AFC Reading made the most of early chances. Despite the setback, Pumas kept battling and were rewarded before half-time when they won a penalty. Jacob stepped up and confidently blasted the ball into the top of the net to pull the score back to 2–1 at halftime.
AFC Reading extended their lead early in the second half to make it 3–1, leaving Pumas with plenty to do. Once again, the response was positive. A long throw from Isaac caused problems in the box and Samual was on hand to finish, bringing Pumas back into the contest at 3–2.
With momentum building, Miles produced a moment of quality — driving forward on a powerful run before smashing home a brilliant equaliser to level the game at 3–3.
Pumas pushed hard for a winner in the closing stages but couldn’t quite find the quality to get a winning goal.
There’s plenty to reflect on and improve — sharper passing, keeping possession, taking our chances, and better communication across the pitch. However, the never-give-up attitude remains strong. This is a team that will always be hard to beat and was a shame we didn’t get the win today….
We keep going, onwards and upwards.
