Storm Amy made her presence felt on a very windy day, as two unbeaten sides met in Henley. The aptly named Henley Hurricanes broke the deadlock after 6 minutes when a long ball evaded our defence and their forward finished well.

It took 8 minutes for the Predators to be level with a nice move down the right culminating in goal for Edward. The same player put us in the lead, this time after a good link up with Maxwell and we went further ahead with an excellent finish by Nathan, again cutting in from the right having been setup by Remi.

With the wind in our faces it was difficult to get out of our own box from goal kicks and a mix-up in doing so let Henley grab a second goal. Importantly, the team stayed positive and that was just a small inconvenience!

Two more Predators goals followed with great long-range efforts first from Ollie and then Maxwell, both only possible after great efforts to win the ball back and not let the opposition rest. We went into the break 5-2 up.

No goals for the first 15 minutes of the second half was largely down to some excellent saves from Jack in goal. We as coaches were actually applauding what we thought was a great goal by Henley, when our stopper, reminiscent of a young Peter Shilton, dived to his left to keep it out.

With 20 minutes left, we won a penalty (for the fifth match in a row!) and Zachary stepped up to extend the lead. The Hurricanes had by this point weakened to more of a Tropical Storm and Edward popped up with three more goals in the final ten minutes to make the score a slightly flattering 9-2.

Nice to see five different scorers and of course, to see Edward hit five. Not bad from midfield!

Most importantly, the teamwork and support of each that is on display every week is great to see!
