Final Score: AFC Reading 2-4 Pinewood Jaguars

From the opening whistle, Pinewood took control of the game, keeping the ball pinned in Reading’s half for much of the period. Sienna opened the scoring after running onto a ball knocked through the defence and finishing calmly. She soon doubled the lead, converting a penalty to make it 2–0.

Pinewood continued to press, with Floss putting an effort over the bar and Kiana firing just wide. While Reading’s defense was under constant siege—including a late corner that nearly floated straight in—Pinewood’s 1st half keeper, Poppy, remained alert when called upon. She pulled off three saves in the first half, the third being a standout effort to keep Reading at bay.

Pinewood picked up right where they left off after the restart. Kiana played a brilliant pass through to Amelie, however she wasn't able to convert it. Not long after, Sienna smashed a heavy shot on goal, with Reading’s keeper making a great initial save, but Jess was positioned perfectly to slide home the rebound and extend the lead to 3–0.

A mix-up almost led to a fourth shortly after, as team-mates Sienna and Abby accidentally tackled each other in front of goal with a clear chance on the line. Then not long after that, Jess then drove forward again, sending a powerful shot just wide of the post.

Reading fought back into the match courtesy of their #26. Driving all the way to the byline, #26 curled a tight-angle shot past Penny to make it 3–1. Reading then earned a free kick from 30 yards out, which #26 struck brilliantly into the net to complete a double and narrow the gap to 3–2.

Pinewood restored their cushion through Jess, who controlled the ball on the edge of the area and slotted a beautiful finish to the right of the keeper for her second goal of the match.

Late in the game, Floss was fouled near the edge of the box to earn Pinewood a free kick. Kiana wellied a powerful strike on target, forcing another impressive save from the Reading goalkeeper.
