After playing 4 games, the team won 2, lost 1, drew 1 and finished second in their group. They then went to win all their games in the knock out stages and made it through to the final.
They played Virtu Wolves in the final, who were the only team to had beaten them in the first round. The boys knew the final was going to be a tough match. The game was quite physical and you can tell both teams clearly wanted the win.
The Pumas took the lead in a well worked passing move deep inside Virtu's half of the field. Virtu eventually equalised with a rebound from a GK save after being awarded a free kick outside the box. The game finished at a 1-1 draw which then resulted in a sudden death penalty shootout. Virtu scored their penalty, and then they saved our penalty. Resulting Pumas coming runners-up in the tournament.
The team showed the togetherness, the fight, and aggression needed to compete at high level. They learnt quickly from their defeat and showed real winning mentality.
