Panthers bounced back from disappointing defeat on Saturday which rules out a Div 3 league win with a great tournament victory on a warm Sunday at Sandhurst recreation ground.
With teams from Bracknell , Camberley, Sandhurst and IVO (from the Netherlands) competed in two 6 team group stages.
Panthers started strong beating a physical IVO side 2-0. The quickly followed that up with a 4-0 win over Camberley. A hard fought 0-0 with Sandhurst under 14’s was sandwiched between a 1-0 win vs another Sandhurst team and a 1-1 with Bracknell. Quarter Final saw us paired with Pinewood Piranhas and a competitive game finished 1-0 to Panthers
Onto the semi final a tight 1-0 win vs Camberley under 14’s saw us meet the another IVO side in the final. A very competitive game had penalties written all over it from the start with both teams defending the well and chances at a premium.
So to penalties - sudden death from spot kick 1.
Ollie P steps up fires into top corner.
IVO equalise with equally as emphatic penalty.
Theo steps up superb strike bottom corner.
IVO step up to equalise but a magnificent save from Cash results in Panthers victory
